Andrew Bart

Andrew (Andy) Bart is a performance-driven business leader serving in executive roles with professional services and consulting companies. Demonstrated ability to generate revenue with margins of 25%+ in large corporations and mid-market companies. He has been founder and President of two start-up companies and COO and President of a venture capital backed organization and a public corporation. Mr. Bart improved the results of many underperforming operations with his hands-on collaborative and result-oriented style. Andy speaks four languages and has participated in international business development activities.

Mr. Bart is the founding Principal of Executive Operations Management, LLC. EOM and serves as an Operating Partner with Restructuring Advisors. Jointly the firms provide performance improvement, restructuring, crisis and turnaround management services to middle market public and privately held companies. The industry scope includes work in the retail, technology, information processing(IT), manufacturing and industrial sectors.

As President of Systemhouse Inc., he led the U.S. subsidiary with revenues of $110M, over 450 employees and eight profit centers. Mr. Bart increased revenues by 37% and EBITDA by 29%. He directed all aspects of the operation: sales, program management, finance, HR, administration, and M&A. During his leadership services utilization increased from 71% to 83%. He was a member of the company’s worldwide operating committee. His initial assignment involved the review and performance improvement of all the underachieving business units. He achieved success by turning six operations into profitable entities.

Mr. Bart was President and COO of The Maxima Corporation a $40M federal government contractor that was poised to expand into the commercial marketplace. The company planned to issue its first IPO under Andy’s direction. The first task was to turn a $4.1M loss into a $400K profit EBIDA. Along with the performance improvement unbilled receivables were reduced and all potential litigation issues were resolved. For several reasons the owner and the investor decided to not pursue the IPO route.

Andy was one of the founders and served as the CEO of Publishing Connections Inc., a leading professional services and software firm focused on editorial and content transformation systems. Clients included companies like Time Inc., The McGraw-Hill Companies and many mid-market book, magazine and newspaper publishers. The company grew its revenues to $6M and created a valuable IP software suite. A successful sale transaction resulted in the fifth year of operation.

Mr. Bart holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) from Concordia University in Montreal, Canada. He is a certified PMP, project manager. He serves in various volunteer and charitable organizations in the Washington D.C. area.
