Kirk L. Fansher

Kirk FansherMr. Fansher has broad experience in the public and private sectors in the United States and overseas. An accomplished leader he has a solid record of turning around troubled organizations and finding innovative means of improving performance. He has over 15 years C-level experience in finance and operations positions across a number of industries and sectors.

Kirk has a track record of helping marquee firms improve profitability through improved logistics, supply chain management and strategic procurement initiatives. He worked as a strategy advisor to Private Equity groups, Investment Banks and manufacturing firms focused on the Defense Aerospace sector. He has helped Fortune 100 clients cut direct cost by as much as 20% and double annual operating profits.

Recent engagements include developing market entry strategies for a middle market logistics provider, advising a major defense contractor on future trends in defense procurement, restructuring and managing logistics operations for a major defense contractor supporting the top Department of Defense procurement program and leading a regional logistics operation with over 5000 employees a $1.6 billon operating budget and encompassing a manufacturing, transportation and warehousing operations at over 20 facilities.

Mr. Fansher retired from the Air Force reserve as a Colonel and has led several critical programs critical organizations at Headquarters US Air Force and around the world. Present at the Pentagon on Sept 11 he was instrumental in developing strategy options for the Joint Chiefs of Staff and President. Following the attack he coordinated deployment of Air Force forces to support operations in Afghanistan and Iraq. Col. Fansher routinely worked with and advised Air Force senior leadership on Air Force power projection capability and force management issues. He is often sought out to help build business cases to support Air Force concept development and requirements. Most recently he served as Director of Staff for the National Commission on the Structure of the Air Force, making restructuring recommendations to the President and Congress cope with the dramatic financial impacts of sequestration by slashing personnel costs.

He has an MBA from Yale University where he serves on the Board of Directors for the Alumni Association and Chairman of the Committee on Entrepreneurship. He also has a Masters Degree from the United States Navy War College and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Wisconsin.

He is an avid aviator with over 3000 hours of flying time and has flown the B-52, C-130, T-38 and a wide range of civil aircraft. He is also a FAA Certified Flight Instructor and Airline Transport Pilot and certified flight instructor.
